Cybersecurity Acquisitions in Alabama

The One 23 Group (O23G), a Willow Creek Partners‑backed federal technology and cybersecurity platform, has acquired Integrated Computer Solutions (ICS), a provider of mission IT and cybersecurity services to U.S. federal agencies. The deal expands O23G’s mission IT, secure cloud modernization, and AI/DevSecOps capabilities for defense, homeland security, and justice customers.

RMC Global has acquired Shearer and Associates, Inc., a Huntsville-based engineering and cybersecurity firm with deep experience supporting Department of Defense and critical infrastructure customers. The deal expands RMC's industrial control systems (ICS) cybersecurity, facility/security engineering, and risk management capabilities and strengthens its presence in the defense and critical-infrastructure markets.

Boston-based private equity firm WestView Capital Partners has made a growth investment in Summit 7 Systems, a Huntsville, Alabama-headquartered cybersecurity and compliance provider for the Defense Industrial Base. The capital will support Summit 7's expansion of Microsoft Government Cloud solutions and broader cybersecurity and compliance offerings while the existing management team remains in place.

VC3, a Nautic Partners–backed managed services provider, has acquired ThinkGard, a Birmingham-based specialist in data protection, backup/disaster recovery and cybersecurity for local governments. The deal is an add-on to VC3’s platform to expand its municipal footprint and augment its data protection and cybersecurity offerings for government and commercial clients.

QOMPLX has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sentar, Inc., a cyber-intelligence and systems engineering firm serving the national security sector. The deal will combine Sentar's government-focused services and contracts with QOMPLX's cloud-native risk analytics and software capabilities to expand cybersecurity, analytics, and operations offerings for government customers.
