Houston-based IT staffing platform Talent Groups, backed by Osceola Capital, has acquired Dallas-based Abacus Technical Services and The InSource Group to expand its national IT staffing footprint and capabilities. The acquisitions (closed in Q3 2023) are add-on deals to Talent Groups' platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Abacus Group has acquired boutique cybersecurity consulting firm Gotham Security and its parent company GoVanguard to expand its security services and accelerate the firm's transition from an MSP to a full MSSP. Gotham Security will operate as a subsidiary under Abacus Group, bringing capabilities such as penetration testing, red teaming, threat intelligence, and other advisory services to Abacus's financial-services-focused client base.
