Genmab Acquires ProfoundBio for $1.8 Billion

Genmab A/S will acquire clinical-stage biotech ProfoundBio, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at USD 1.8 billion to obtain worldwide rights to ProfoundBio's pipeline of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), including rinatabart sesutecan (Rina-S). The deal is intended to broaden and strengthen Genmab's oncology and ADC capabilities and is expected to close in the first half of 2024, subject to customary conditions.

Meltwater B.V. has acquired Oxford University spin-out DeepReason.ai for $7.3 million in cash and Meltwater equity (including milestone/retention-based earn-outs). The acquisition brings DeepReason.ai's knowledge-graph reasoning technology and its team (five full-time and four part-time employees) into Meltwater to accelerate expansion of Meltwater's knowledge graph and AI-driven insights capabilities.

RadNet Acquires DeepHealth to Expand AI Capabilities

The deal is structured as an initial share payment with up to additional milestone-based stock payments and aims to integrate DeepHealth's team and technology into RadNet's AI strategy to improve imaging interpretation and workflow efficiency.

AI/ML Innovations Inc. Acquires Quantum Sciences Ltd

The acquisition (SPA dated December 9, 2024) brings digital health AI/ML and quantum‑inspired capability into AI/ML Innovations' portfolio and remains subject to customary closing conditions and CSE approval.

BioNTech Acquires Neon Therapeutics

Neon, a Cambridge-based developer of neoantigen-targeted T cell therapies, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of BioNTech to expand BioNTech’s T cell therapy capabilities and U.S. presence.

BioNTech Acquires Biotheus

BioNTech SE has completed the acquisition of clinical-stage biotechnology company Biotheus for $800 million in cash and ADS consideration plus up to $150 million in milestone payments. The deal gives BioNTech full global rights to BNT327 and Biotheus' antibody platform, and adds a local R&D hub and biologics manufacturing facility in China to BioNTech's network to support its oncology strategy.
