Arkema Acquires Dow's Flexible Packaging Laminating Adhesives Business

Arkema finalized the acquisition on December 2, 2024 of Dow's flexible packaging laminating adhesives business for an enterprise value of US$150 million. The business (around US$250 million in annual sales, ~280 employees, five production sites across Italy, the United States and Mexico) will be integrated into Arkema's adhesive platform (Bostik) to expand its flexible packaging product offering and capture cost and development synergies.

Dazpak (H.I.G. Capital Portfolio) Acquires Atlapac Corporation and Polymer Packaging's Inno-lok Division

Capital portfolio company, has completed add-on acquisitions of Atlapac Corporation (Columbus, Ohio) and the Inno-lok division of Polymer Packaging (Massillon, Ohio). The deals expand Dazpak's flexible packaging footprint into the Midwest, broaden its product offering (including INNO-LOK reclosable pouches), and increase the combined company's customer reach across food & beverage, homecare and healthcare end markets.

Kodiak Acquires Aztech Lubricants

Pipeline Packaging Acquires HAZMATPAC, Inc.

Pipeline Packaging, the largest U.S. distributor of rigid industrial containers, has acquired HAZMATPAC, Inc., a Houston-based manufacturer and distributor of certified hazmat packaging. HAZMATPAC will operate as a wholly owned independent subsidiary with two warehouses (Houston, TX and Philadelphia, PA), providing Pipeline a product line extension into specialized hazardous-materials packaging focused on compliance, safety and quality.

Flexpak, LLC Acquires Preferred Packaging Products, Inc.

Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.

Solenis Acquires Aqua ChemPacs

Solenis, a global specialty chemicals producer, acquired Aqua ChemPacs, LLC, a Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of dissolvable concentrated liquid chemical packs, on June 10, 2024. The deal adds Aqua ChemPacs' eco-friendly ChemPacs technology and low-carbon-footprint packaging to Solenis' Diversey portfolio, expanding the company's institutional cleaning and sustainability capabilities.
