Clearlake Capital Group completed its acquisition of Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) for CAD$40.50 per share, taking the company private after shareholder approval. Clearlake said it will support IPG's sustainability initiatives, product and capability expansion, and global growth through its O.P.S. operational improvement approach.

IPACKCHEM Group Acquires Majority Stake in TPG Plastics LLC

IPACKCHEM Group acquired a majority stake in TPG Plastics LLC to bring its Advanced In‑Mold Fluorination (Advanced IMF) barrier packaging technology to North America and serve the crop protection market. The deal gives IPACKCHEM a manufacturing foothold in Murray, Kentucky and includes near‑term investments to expand capacity and support growth into additional life‑enhancing chemical segments.

Inteplast Group Acquires Brown Paper Goods (Brown Paper Products)

Inteplast Group has acquired Brown Paper Goods (now operating as Brown Paper Products) and will integrate the business into its Integrated Bagging Systems (IBS) division. Brown Paper Goods is a Safe Quality Food (SQF) certified manufacturer of single-use paper packaging with operations in Waukegan, Illinois and Coppell, Texas; the transaction closed on April 2, 2024.

ProAmpac Acquires IG Industries PLC and Brayford Plastics Ltd

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging company owned by Pritzker Private Capital, acquired UK-based IG Industries PLC and Brayford Plastics Ltd to expand its recyclable flexible packaging manufacturing capabilities and geographic reach across the United Kingdom and Europe. Terms were not disclosed; both businesses will adopt the ProAmpac brand and maintain operations at their U.K. manufacturing facilities.

OptiGroup Acquires Technotape B.V.

OptiGroup, a European distribution group based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has acquired Technotape B.V., a Dutch distributor of self-adhesive tapes and stretch films. Technotape will join OptiGroup's packaging business in the Netherlands and continue to operate under its current brand; the purchase price was not disclosed.

B2B Industrial Packaging Acquires Allen Packaging Company

GenNx360 Capital Partners’ portfolio company B2B Industrial Packaging has acquired Allen Packaging Company, a Tustin, California-based packaging supplier and manufacturer. The deal is B2B’s fourth add-on since GenNx360’s October 2020 investment and expands the platform’s corrugated, poly bag and stretch film capabilities and client coverage in Southern California.
