Fujirebio Diagnostics Acquires Plasma Services Group

Fujirebio Diagnostics, a subsidiary of Fujirebio Holdings (H.U. Group), has acquired all shares of Plasma Services Group, a Moorestown, New Jersey-based supplier of rare biological samples and collection services for the IVD and life sciences industries. The acquisition strengthens Fujirebio's capability to supply high-quality and hard-to-obtain biological raw materials for diagnostics R&D and manufacturing; transaction value was not disclosed.

Ajinomoto Co., Inc. will acquire Forge Biologics in an all-cash transaction valued at $620 million, expanding Ajinomoto's gene therapy and plasmid/AAV manufacturing capabilities. Forge, a Columbus, Ohio–based viral vector and plasmid CDMO with a 200,000 sq ft cGMP facility and ~300+ employees, will become a consolidated subsidiary to accelerate global gene and cell therapy manufacturing capacity.
