RealWear has acquired Seattle-based Genba AI and received an additional $1.5 million Series C investment from Fortive Corporation. The deal brings Genba’s voice-enabled, speech-to-text SaaS for industrial maintenance into RealWear’s assisted-reality platform, accelerating RealWear’s shift to a platform-first SaaS strategy and opening new industrial channels (including a co-selling program with Fluke/eMaint).

Meta Acquires AI Wearables Startup Limitless

Meta has acquired Limitless (formerly Rewind), an AI wearable startup that built a pendant which recorded and transcribed real-world conversations. Limitless will stop selling new devices, support existing customers for one year (moving them to a free Unlimited Plan), and the Limitless team will join Meta’s Reality Labs to help accelerate AI-enabled wearables development.

Apple Acquires Israeli Audio AI Startup Q.ai

Apple has acquired Q.ai, an Israeli audio-focused AI startup, in a deal reported to value the company at roughly $1.6 billion (estimates vary). Q.ai’s ~100 employees, including CEO Aviad Maizels and co‑founders, will join Apple as the company looks to integrate Q.ai’s audio and “silent speech” imaging/ML technology into its hardware and voice-enabled products.

IBM Acquires Seek AI

IBM has acquired Seek AI, a New York–based startup that provides a natural-language AI platform for querying and analyzing enterprise data, for an undisclosed sum. Seek AI will join IBM’s new Watsonx AI Labs in New York City and relocate its headquarters to One Madison, with the technology integrated into IBM’s enterprise AI offerings to accelerate its AI capabilities.

HP Inc. Acquires Humane for $116 Million

HP Inc. acquired AI wearable startup Humane for $116 million, buying the company and its assets after Humane discontinued its AI Pin product and shut down related cloud services. The deal transfers some Humane employees to HP while others were laid off; HP intends to leverage Humane's AI hardware, models, and IP to advance its AI and device strategy.

Braze Acquires OfferFit

Braze has completed its acquisition of OfferFit, an AI decisioning company, and will integrate OfferFit's multi-agent reinforcement learning engine into Braze's Customer Engagement Platform.
