Gold Medal Group (Kinderhook) Acquires Apple Valley Waste Services; BioHiTech Global Takes Minority Stake

Gold Medal Group, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, has acquired Apple Valley Waste Services (AVW) from Summer Street Capital Partners, with BioHiTech Global joining as a minority partner. AVW, based in Kearneysville, West Virginia, is a regional provider of municipal, commercial and roll‑off solid waste collection, transfer and recycling services; terms were not disclosed.

K-Tec & Ashland (K.A. Group) Acquire Metalcraft of GA, Inc.

K-Tec Earthmovers and Ashland Industries, operating together as K.A. Group and owned by family office Kinperium Industries, have acquired Metalcraft of GA, Inc., a manufacturer of large-capacity land-leveling and fine-grading scrapers. The Metalcraft facility in Louisville, Georgia will continue to be managed by founder Dayton Ratzlaff; the acquisition adds a Southeastern U.S. manufacturing presence and expands K.A. Group's product offerings for construction, mining and agriculture markets.

Menard USA Acquires Earth Tech, LLC

Menard (Menard USA), the international specialty ground improvement construction company, acquired Earth Tech, LLC of Land O' Lakes, Florida on April 15, 2022. The acquisition expands Menard's footprint in Florida and the Southeast and adds Earth Tech's grouting, piling and geotechnical design-build capabilities and 95 employees to Menard's U.S. operations.

K-Tec Acquires Ashland Industries

K-Tec Holdings LLC, a manufacturer of earthmoving scrapers majority-owned by private investment firm Owner Resource Group (ORG), has acquired Ashland Industries Holdings Inc. The merger combines two specialty manufacturers in the earthmoving industry to expand product offerings, service coverage and geographic footprint across Rosenort, Manitoba and Ashland, Wisconsin.

Financial terms were not disclosed; Kinderhook said the acquisition expands its environmental services platform and adds Chemtron's diverse treatment, processing and railcar/ISO container capabilities to its portfolio.
