Premier Biotech Acquires Desert Tox

Premier Biotech, a toxicology testing provider backed by Align Capital Partners, has acquired Desert Tox, LLC, a SAMHSA‑certified laboratory that provides urine and oral fluid testing across HHS/DOT, employment, occupational health and government markets. The founders, Mike Grommes and Mike Gorman, will remain involved; the deal is Premier's first add-on since ACP's acquisition in November 2022 and expands Premier's national service offering and oral fluids capabilities.

OraSure Technologies Acquires UrSure

OraSure Technologies, Inc. has agreed to acquire UrSure, Inc., a Boston-based developer of tests that measure adherence to HIV medications including PrEP, for $3 million upfront plus up to $28 million in contingent consideration. The acquisition expands OraSure's point-of-care and infectious disease diagnostic offerings and strengthens its position in the HIV market by adding adherence-monitoring products and related laboratory capabilities.

Alliance Technical Group, a Morgan Stanley Capital Partners–backed environmental testing and services platform, has acquired four independent environmental laboratories — Summit Environmental Technologies (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), Fremont Analytical (Seattle, WA), Orange Coast Analytical (Los Angeles, CA / Phoenix, AZ) and CHESTER LabNet (Portland, OR) — to build a nationwide laboratory network. The add-on deals expand Alliance's capabilities beyond air testing into water, hazardous waste, soil and PFAS/XRF analyses and broaden its geographic coverage across the United States.

Premier Biotech Acquires National Test Systems
