Kingsway Financial Services acquired Roundhouse Electric & Equipment Co., Inc., a provider of mission-critical field maintenance and motor repair services to midstream natural gas pipeline operators and utilities in the Permian Basin; the transaction closed July 1, 2025. Generational Capital Markets advised the sellers, and Kingsway said Roundhouse is a strategic fit for its Kingsway Search Xcelerator platform to expand its portfolio of asset-light, recurring-revenue services businesses.

HKW Acquires Electric Equipment & Engineering Co.

HKW, a middle-market private equity firm, has acquired Electric Equipment & Engineering Co. (EEE), a Denver-based designer and manufacturer of electrical power distribution products serving data centers, telecommunications, broadband and utilities. The company was owned by the third-generation Morroni family prior to the transaction; financial terms were not disclosed and financing was provided by Barings and Siguler Guff.

Huron Capital Forms Exigent Platform; Exigent Acquires American Combustion Industries

Huron Capital launched Exigent, a mission-critical facilities services platform, and completed its first transaction by partnering with American Combustion Industries (ACI). The Stephens Group made a minority investment to support Huron’s controlling stake; ACI’s owner Tim Kirlin retains an ownership stake and joins Exigent’s executive team as the platform pursues additional HVAC, plumbing and mechanical services add-ons.

Huron Capital's Rampart Exterior Services Acquires Independent Roofing Systems

Huron Capital’s commercial roofing platform Rampart Exterior Services completed its inaugural add-on acquisition with the purchase of Independent Roofing Systems, a central Mississippi commercial roofing contractor. The deal was supported with financing and an equity co-investment led by Monroe Capital; Independent’s existing leadership will remain in place as Rampart integrates the company into its buy-and-build strategy.

RKD Group Acquires Heller Consulting

The State Group Acquires Ruder Electric

The State Group, a portfolio company of funds managed by Apollo, has acquired Ruder Electric, a Kankakee, Illinois-based electrical contractor. The add-on expands The State Group's footprint into central and northern Illinois and brings Ruder Electric's electrical construction, maintenance, fire, security, communications, utility, and safety systems capabilities (including over 100 union electricians) into the platform.
