Eye Health America Acquires Eye Centers of Florida

Eye Health America (EHA), a Greenville, South Carolina–based eyecare platform backed by LLR Partners, has acquired Eye Centers of Florida (ECOF), a Ft. Myers–based ophthalmology practice with 11 locations and a two-room ambulatory surgery center. The deal is an add-on acquisition that strengthens EHA's footprint in Southwest Florida and expands its network of practices and ASCs across the Southeast.

The deal brings Dr. Liaquat Allarakhia's long-standing Bradenton practice into EHA's Southeast U.S. footprint, expanding EHA's presence in Southwest Florida and providing additional operational and clinical resources to the practice.

The transaction closed January 24, 2020; existing leadership including founder Dr. Thomas Quigley and CEO Mark Quigley will remain in place as partners with New Harbor to fund growth, technology upgrades and regional expansion.

Myers–Naples market and an accredited ambulatory surgery center.
