ClearCourse, a London-based software and embedded payments specialist, has acquired B2B eCommerce platform GOb2b to expand its industry-specific software offerings for small and mid-sized businesses. GOb2b, which serves customers across the United Kingdom and Ireland in sectors such as food and drink, health and safety, and manufacturing, will be integrated into ClearCourse's suite of solutions.

ClearSale Acquires ChargebackOps

ClearSale, a global ecommerce fraud protection provider, acquired ChargebackOps, a Utah-based enterprise chargeback management services firm. The deal (initial payment $3.6M plus up to $0.6M contingent payments) brings chargeback investigation and dispute capabilities into ClearSale's AI-driven fraud protection suite to offer end-to-end merchant protection.

ClearCompany (Gemspring-backed) Acquires Brainier Solutions

Clearlake Capital Acquires Discovery Education from Francisco Partners

An affiliate of Clearlake Capital Group agreed to acquire a majority stake in Discovery Education from Francisco Partners, with Francisco Partners retaining a minority equity interest. The deal will leave Discovery Education’s CEO Scott Kinney and management team in place and is intended to accelerate platform growth, deepen distribution, and support strategic add-on M&A to expand the company’s digital K–12 curriculum offerings.

Sanoma Acquires itslearning from EQT Expansion Capital II

Sanoma has acquired itslearning AS, a Bergen-based provider of a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS), from EQT Expansion Capital II. The acquisition strengthens Sanoma's digital learning capabilities and provides itslearning with a strategic owner to support further growth across Europe and internationally. The transaction closed on 5 December 2019; financial terms were not disclosed.

Leeds Equity Partners Acquires Learnosity
