The acquisition brings proactive, multi-day asynchronous conversational capabilities to NICE's cloud CX suite, enabling organizations to engage customers across preferred digital channels before they request service.

NICE Acquires MindTouch

NICE has acquired MindTouch, a San Diego–based knowledge management software company, to strengthen its digital self-service and knowledge capabilities within the NICE CXone platform. MindTouch, founded in 2005, reported about 100 employees and over 300 customers in 2020; financial terms were not disclosed.

NICE Acquires LiveVox

NICE has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire LiveVox, a cloud CCaaS provider, in a cash transaction that pays LiveVox stockholders $3.74 per share. The acquisition brings LiveVox's AI-driven proactive outreach capabilities into NICE's CXone platform to create a unified, interaction-centric conversational AI offering; the deal closed and is expected to be accretive to NICE in 2024.

Verint Acquires Cogito

Verint completed the acquisition of Cogito in October 2024, adding Cogito’s real-time agent coaching and conversation AI capabilities to its CX Automation portfolio. Verint has already integrated Cogito technology to launch the Verint CX/EX Scoring Bot, leveraging Cogito’s ability to analyze 200+ acoustic and lexical signals to score live customer-agent interactions and improve contact center performance.

Project Management Institute Acquires Cognilytica

Project Management Institute (PMI) has acquired Cognilytica, an AI best-practices research, training and certification firm, and will integrate Cognilytica’s CPMAI certifications, learning products, and thought leadership into PMI’s education and PMI Infinity offerings. Cognilytica founders Ron Schmelzer and Kathleen Walch will join PMI as the organization expands its AI capability and training content for project professionals.

Cognizant Acquires Inawisdom
