The bolt-on strengthens Lafayette’s life-science instrumentation offering and expands its product range into skeletal muscle physiology for universities and research institutions.

Brookside Capital Partners provided subordinated debt and minority equity to support Lafayette in the bolt-on acquisition; terms were not disclosed.

Branford Castle Partners Acquires Hoffman Engineering

Branford Castle Partners has acquired Hoffman Engineering, a Stamford-based maker of night-vision test equipment, imaging lighting systems and commercial aviation LED specialty lighting, from Trident Maritime Systems. The transaction was financed with senior debt from O2 Sponsor Finance and mezzanine debt and an equity co-investment from Brookside Capital Partners; Hoffman’s management team will remain in place and terms were not disclosed.

Branford Castle Acquires ABC Industries, Inc.

Lafayette Instrument Acquires Alzet Osmotic Pumps from DURECT

Branford Castle Partners Acquires Fibrix Filtration

Financing included senior debt from Byline Sponsor Finance and subordinated debt and an equity co-investment from Brookside Mezzanine Partners; Fibrix CEO Keith White remains in leadership and participated in the transaction.
