Searchlight-Led Investor Group Acquires Frontier's Northwest Operations to Form Ziply Fiber

A Searchlight Capital Partners-led investor group, together with WaveDivision Capital (WDC), PSP Investments, BCI and CPP Investments, completed the $1.352 billion acquisition of Frontier Communications' Northwest operations and assets and committed an additional $500 million for network and service improvements to form Ziply Fiber. The new company, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, will focus on upgrading the region to predominantly all-fiber service for roughly 500,000 residential and business subscribers across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

Lightpath to Acquire United Fiber & Data Assets

Lightpath has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of United Fiber & Data; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close in Q3 2024. The acquisition adds a geographically diverse, high-fiber-count 323-route mile long-haul network between New York City and Ashburn, VA, plus a 79-route mile metro network in NYC/NJ, expanding Lightpath's capacity into the Ashburn data center ecosystem and increasing Manhattan serviceable market by over 20%.

LightEdge Acquires Connectria

LightEdge, a GI Partners‑backed provider of secure cloud and colocation services, has agreed to acquire Connectria, a St. Louis‑based multi‑cloud infrastructure and managed hosting provider. The deal adds six data centers to LightEdge’s footprint, expands its public cloud hosting capabilities (IBM, AWS, Azure), and is expected to close before the end of April.

Grain Management Acquires LightRiver Technologies & Software

Lumin8 Transportation Technologies Acquires Lightspeed Integrated Communications

Lumin8 Transportation Technologies, a portfolio company of Crest Rock Partners, has acquired Lightspeed Integrated Communications, a Castle Rock, Colorado-based fiber optic infrastructure services provider. The deal expands Lumin8's fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance capabilities to support ITS and broadband projects and broadens its service footprint across the U.S.

Luminate Capital Partners Invests in MSI Data
