Episerver, a portfolio company of Insight Partners, acquired Optimizely to combine content, commerce and personalization capabilities with Optimizely's experimentation and optimization platform, creating an advanced digital experience platform. The transaction closed in October 2020 and brings Optimizely's ~1,500 employees and enterprise customer base into Episerver's expanded offering.

OneMagnify Acquires Optimal's Performance Marketing Business

OneMagnify, a Crestview Partners–backed AI-enabled marketing platform, has acquired the Performance Marketing business of Optimal to integrate Optimal's performance media expertise and proprietary audience data into OneMagnify's platform. The acquisition expands OneMagnify's paid media capabilities across programmatic, CTV, paid search, paid social, and marketplace advertising; financial terms were not disclosed.

MSQ Acquires United Digital Group (UDG)

MSQ has acquired United Digital Group (UDG), a €40m-revenue, 350-strong German digital customer experience agency, to build a pan‑European digital customer experience and tech powerhouse. The deal, which adds UDG's design, engineering and technical delivery capabilities to MSQ's global network, is part of MSQ's PE-backed growth strategy supported by One Equity Partners and LDC; UDG was previously part of PIA Group (owned by Equistone).

CivicPlus Acquires Optimere (ArchiveSocial, Monsido, NextRequest)

CivicPlus has agreed to acquire Optimere, the combined business behind ArchiveSocial, Monsido, and NextRequest, to integrate digital compliance, accessibility, and records-management capabilities into its Civic Experience Platform. Insight Partners will support the transaction with additional equity and certain Optimere shareholders (including Level Equity) will become investors in CivicPlus; Optimere serves over 6,000 customers and had crossed roughly $30M ARR prior to the deal.

Smile Group Acquires UX-Republic

Smile Group has acquired UX-Republic, the French user-experience design specialist, which will continue to operate under its own brand while leveraging Smile's open-source capabilities and international presence. The deal is supported by Smile's shareholders Keensight Capital and Eurazeo PME and is intended to strengthen Smile's consulting and digital-experience offering across France and Europe.
