Troy, Michigan-based G2 Consulting Group has acquired Construction Testing Services (CTS), a long-standing Michigan engineering and materials testing firm with a nine-person team. The succession-driven acquisition expands G2's in-state footprint and adds CTS' geotechnical and materials testing capabilities while preserving CTS' staff and client relationships; financial terms were not disclosed.

The bolt-on deal expands CTS's environmental, landfill and quarry monitoring and permitting capabilities across the UK; Silkstone's former owner Mark Barrett will remain with the business.
