Ecolab Inc. has completed the acquisition of Ovivo's Electronics ultrapure water business, a transaction that expands Ecolab's capability in ultrapure water technologies for semiconductor manufacturing and data centers. The deal—based on an enterprise valuation reported at approximately C$2.4 billion—transfers Ovivo's high‑tech electronics water business (headquartered near Basel, Switzerland) to Ecolab's Global Water platform.

Ovivo Inc., a Montreal-based global water and wastewater treatment equipment and systems provider, has acquired Sherbrooke-based E2metrix Inc., a developer of electrochemical technologies for PFAS destruction. Ovivo had previously made a strategic investment in E2metrix in 2022 and will integrate E2metrix's electrochemical oxidation technology to accelerate commercialization and offer an onsite PFAS destruction solution across municipal and industrial water applications.

Veolia Acquires Alagoas Ambiental and Serquip Tratamentos Resíduos AL

Veolia has acquired two leading waste-management companies in the Brazilian state of Alagoas: Alagoas Ambiental and Serquip Tratamentos Resíduos AL, expanding its Northeast Brazil footprint. The deal (approved by CADE) adds three EcoParks, two healthcare-waste treatment facilities and roughly 380 employees, strengthening Veolia’s municipal, hazardous and recycling waste management and energy-recovery capabilities in the region.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Ecoverse Industries

Alta Equipment Group Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ecoverse Industries, a North American distributor of environmental processing equipment headquartered in Avon, Ohio. The asset purchase (expected to close Q4 2022) includes $42.5 million cash, $2.5 million in Alta stock, a $6.0 million seller note and contingent earn-outs; Ecoverse reported roughly $64.3 million in revenue and $10.1 million of adjusted EBITDA for the trailing twelve months through July 2022.
