Lamons has acquired the ModuHouston coating location from Modumetal; the site will operate as ModuCoatings and holds the license to apply Modumetal's NanoGalv zinc-nickel corrosion protection system. The acquisition expands Lamons' coating and corrosion-protection capabilities for energy, infrastructure, defense and automotive end markets while Modumetal retains focus on developing its nanolaminated metals technologies.

TriMas Company, LLC has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Lamons business to private equity firm First Reserve for $135 million in cash, subject to customary adjustments and regulatory approvals. Lamons, a manufacturer of industrial sealing and fastener solutions with approximately $186 million in net sales for the 12 months ended September 30, 2019, will be positioned by First Reserve to focus on energy-related end markets; the deal was expected to close by end of Q1 2020.

Dutch micro-precision solutions provider Muon, backed by Gilde Buy Out Partners, has completed the acquisition of LouwersHanique, a manufacturer of high-precision technical glass and advanced ceramic components. The deal expands Muon's capabilities in technical glass and ceramics to better serve semiconductor and medical end-markets and is expected to lift the combined group's revenues to well over EUR 110 million.
