New York-based Closed Loop Partners' Leadership Fund has taken an ownership stake in ERI (Electronic Recyclers International), a Fresno-headquartered IT asset disposition (ITAD) and electronics recycling company. The investment will fund ERI's expansion (North American and international), upgrades in AI and robotics, and enhancements to its proprietary tracking software while Closed Loop founder Ron Gonen joins ERI's board.

Closed Loop Private Equity Acquires Agri-Cycle

Closed Loop Partners' private equity arm, Closed Loop Private Equity, has acquired Agri-Cycle, a U.S. organics collection and organics-management services provider. Agri-Cycle collects organic waste from over 2,400 locations across 14 states and will partner with Closed Loop to scale nationally through a buy-and-build strategy, expanding collection, processing and analytics capabilities.

Ren, an Indianapolis-based provider of donor-advised fund enablement software and services, received a strategic growth investment led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities and Valeas Capital Partners. The capital — Ren's first institutional funding — will be used to build new product features, rapidly scale the team, increase advisor and client awareness of donor-advised funds, and expand Ren's charity network; financial terms were not disclosed. Raymond James acted as exclusive financial advisor.
