Siemens Acquires ASTER Technologies to Integrate PCB Test Engineering into Xpedition and Valor

Siemens has acquired ASTER Technologies, a France-based provider of PCBA test verification and design-for-test (DFT) software, to integrate ASTER's shift-left test engineering capabilities into its Xpedition and Valor product lines within the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. The deal — financial terms undisclosed — aims to enable earlier defect detection, reduce re-spins and field failures, and extend Siemens' DFM and EDA capabilities across automotive, computing/HPC and networking markets.
