Sanoma Acquires itslearning from EQT Expansion Capital II

Sanoma has acquired itslearning AS, a Bergen-based provider of a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS), from EQT Expansion Capital II. The acquisition strengthens Sanoma's digital learning capabilities and provides itslearning with a strategic owner to support further growth across Europe and internationally. The transaction closed on 5 December 2019; financial terms were not disclosed.

IK Investment Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Skill & You

IK Investment Partners (IK IX Fund) has entered into an exclusivity agreement to acquire the majority stake in French vocational e-learning provider Skill & You from Andera Partners. Management (led by Eric Petco and Sonia Levy-Odier) will co-invest alongside IK to support accelerated international expansion, strengthen B2G/B2B capabilities and continue product and platform investment; Skill & You reported ~€115m revenue in 2020, ~120,000 students and ~850 employees.

Founded in 2013, VDK is a group of semi‑independent technical installation and maintenance companies in the North East of the Netherlands focused on electrical and mechanical (E&M) installation, HVAC and security systems. EMK's investment is intended to support VDK's organic and inorganic growth strategy.
