CMT Engineering Laboratories, a CAI Capital Partners-backed portfolio company, has acquired Paradigm Consultants, a Houston-based provider of construction materials testing, inspection, geotechnical engineering and forensic services. The add-on expands CMT's presence in Texas by adding approximately 40 personnel and retains Paradigm leadership with Woody Vogt and Ray Meyer keeping equity and remaining in their roles.

CMT Technical Services Acquires Cesare, Inc.

CMT Technical Services (a CAI Capital Partners-backed portfolio company) has acquired Cesare, Inc., a Colorado-based consulting engineering firm specializing in construction material testing, geotechnical, and forensic engineering. The deal adds four offices and approximately 50 employees in Colorado, expands CMT's geographic footprint and service capabilities, and the Cesare owner-managers (led by William "Bill" Caires) retain an equity interest and will remain in their roles.

CAI Capital Partners Invests in ATS Services Ltd.

CAI Capital Partners has closed an investment in ATS Services Ltd., a Canada-based provider of aviation communication services, meteorological observations, training, and equipment distribution. The transaction — CAI's fourth platform investment from its sixth fund — will support ATS' continued growth across its 65 Canadian sites and was debt-financed by The Bank of Nova Scotia.

Vancouver-based private equity firm CAI Capital Partners has partnered with Midwestern Electric, a specialty electrical infrastructure services provider headquartered in East Chicago, Indiana. Management (including Ryan Rentschler, Ryan Lepper and Lenore Obajtek) retained meaningful equity and will continue to lead the business as CAI provides capital (with debt financing from CIBC) to support platform growth and expansion of MWE's municipal and commercial electrical services.

Vancouver-based private equity firm CAI Capital Partners has made a platform investment in DWB Consulting Services Ltd., a British Columbia-based multidisciplinary consulting firm providing environmental, forestry and engineering services. Management and employee shareholders retain a meaningful equity stake and founder Dave Bedford will remain involved in an advisory role; debt financing for the transaction was provided by CIBC.
