The acquisition strengthens Siemens' digital building and infrastructure software capabilities and expands its SaaS footprint, while Brightly will benefit from Siemens' global scale.

The deal (expected to close Feb. 28, 2019) will see founder Arnie Bellini transition to an advisory role while current president and COO Jason Magee becomes CEO; terms were not disclosed and financing was provided by Owl Rock Capital.
