Borgman Capital Acquires Harlo Corporation

Borgman Capital, a Milwaukee-based private investment firm, has acquired Harlo Corporation, an 88-year-old manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts headquartered in Grandville, Michigan. The transaction transfers ownership from the Crooks family to Borgman Capital; Harlo will continue to operate under its name with existing leadership and 54 employees, and will gain resources to expand capacity and product development.

Hub International Acquires Pollock Insurance, Inc.

Hub International Limited acquired the assets of Pollock Insurance, Inc., a Burien, Washington-based independent agency specializing in commercial and personal insurance. The Pollock team, led by owner Andrea Pollock Wood, will join Hub Northwest as part of Hub's strategy to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen its commercial and personal insurance capabilities in Washington.

Piab Group (Patricia Industries) Acquires Alum-a-Lift

Piab Group, a portfolio company of Patricia Industries, has acquired US-based Alum-a-Lift, a maker of electronic ergonomic lifting trolleys, for a total consideration of USD 120 million (cash- and debt-free). The acquisition is a strategic add-on to Piab Group that expands its product offering, geographic reach and exposure to end markets such as semiconductors, aerospace and logistics; Alum-a-Lift generated approximately USD 26m in revenue for the 12 months to Dec 2023 and has ~80 employees.

Permobil Acquires PDG Mobility

Piab Group Acquires Alum-a-Lift

The acquisition was funded by Patricia Industries (Investor AB) to support Piab's strategic add-on program and expand its lifting automation capabilities and presence in North America.

Lifeway Mobility Invests in Twin City Stairlifts/Ability Solutions

Lifeway Mobility, a Rockwood Equity Partners portfolio company, has invested in Disabilities, Inc., doing business as Twin City Stairlifts/Ability Solutions, adding the Burnsville, Minnesota dealer to its platform. The deal expands Lifeway Mobility’s product offering, service capacity and geographic coverage in Minnesota and western Wisconsin while founder Bruce Stevenson remains a shareholder and the existing team stays in place.
