Harmar Mobility Acquires Pollock Lifts

Harmar Mobility, a Sarasota, Florida-based manufacturer of mobility equipment, has acquired Pollock Lifts, a Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland manufacturer of wheelchair and disabled-access lifts. Pollock’s management team will remain in place and manufacturing will continue in Carrickfergus; Harmar plans to promote Pollock’s product categories across North America and other international markets.

Piab Group, a portfolio company of Patricia Industries, has acquired US-based Alum-a-Lift, a maker of electronic ergonomic lifting trolleys, for a total consideration of USD 120 million (cash- and debt-free). The acquisition is a strategic add-on to Piab Group that expands its product offering, geographic reach and exposure to end markets such as semiconductors, aerospace and logistics; Alum-a-Lift generated approximately USD 26m in revenue for the 12 months to Dec 2023 and has ~80 employees.
