Henkel Acquires Olaplex for About $1.4 Billion

The transaction strengthens Henkel Consumer Brands’ presence in the premium hair care segment and broadens its science-led product portfolio across professional salons and specialty retail and e-commerce channels.

OLAPLEX Acquires Purvala Bioscience

Olaplex Holdings, Inc. has acquired Purvala Bioscience, a Boston-based biotech founded by Dr. Bradley Olsen that develops bioinspired molecules for health and beauty applications. The purchase — Olaplex's first acquisition since launching its brand over ten years ago — is intended to accelerate product innovation by combining Purvala’s molecular technologies with Olaplex’s patent-protected bond-building platform.

Advent International (via Odara/LAPEF VII) Invests in Skala Cosméticos

Unilever Acquires K18 Haircare

Advent International Acquires Majority Stake in Parfums de Marly Group

Advent International has agreed to acquire a majority shareholding in the group behind luxury fragrance brands Parfums de Marly and INITIO Parfums Privés from founder Julien Sprecher. Sprecher will remain as Executive Chairman, Creative Director and a large minority shareholder while Advent will support the Group's international expansion and omni-channel strategy.
