EverMetal Holdings LP, a newly formed equity platform backed by GEF Capital Partners, has acquired CAI Custom Alloys LLC, a Belvidere, Illinois-based processor of high-performance superalloy scrap. The acquisition launches EverMetal's U.S. critical metals recycling platform to scale domestic processing capacity for strategic metals serving aerospace, defense, power generation and technology markets.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding equity interests and related real estate assets of American Alloy Steel, Inc., a Houston-based distributor and fabricator of specialty carbon and alloy steel plate and round bar. The acquisition adds specialty plate and new fabrication/value-added processing capabilities to Reliance's portfolio; American Alloy reported approximately $310 million in sales for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2023.

Summit Equity Group Acquires CAI Custom Alloys

Summit Equity Group, a Des Moines-based private investment firm, has acquired CAI Custom Alloys, Inc., a Belvidere, Illinois processor of high-performance superalloy scrap. The transaction — advised by Dresner Partners — will allow CAI to accelerate market penetration and expand its capabilities supplying nickel-, cobalt- and specialty-superalloy materials to aerospace and high-performance industrial customers; financial terms were not disclosed.

V&A Capital Acquires SinterMet LLC

V&A Capital has partnered with SinterMet LLC's management team to acquire SinterMet, a Kittanning, Pennsylvania–based manufacturer of tungsten carbide and powder metallurgy tool steel rolls for steel rod and bar mills. V&A said it will support growth by expanding product offerings, entering new end-markets and pursuing complementary add-on acquisitions, with financing provided by S&T Bank.
