AMD to Acquire ZT Systems for $4.9 Billion

AMD has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ZT Systems, an AI infrastructure provider for hyperscale cloud computing companies, for $4.9 billion in a cash-and-stock deal (including a contingent payment of up to $400 million). The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals, and ZT Systems will join AMD’s Data Center Solutions Business Group after close.
