Anaplan Acquires Syrup Tech

Anaplan has acquired Syrup Tech, an AI-native supply chain and retail forecasting platform, to integrate Syrup's neural-network forecasting and inventory optimization capabilities into Anaplan's AI-driven scenario planning platform. All Syrup employees will join Anaplan and Syrup co-founders James Theuerkauf and Ferdinand Stockmann will take on leadership roles; terms were not disclosed.

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm, completed an all-cash acquisition of Anaplan, Inc. for approximately $10.4 billion ($63.75 per share), taking the cloud-native planning software company private. As part of the transaction Anaplan CEO Frank Calderoni stepped down and Charles Goodman was appointed interim CEO; Thoma Bravo said it will invest to accelerate Anaplan's growth and product strategy.
