Ubiquity Acquires EdgePresence

Ubiquity, a private digital infrastructure investor, has acquired EdgePresence, a provider of modular build-to-suit edge data centers that deliver localized, low-latency compute for carriers and hyperscalers. EdgePresence's founder Doug Recker and the existing team will remain in place as Ubiquity integrates the business into its new Ubiquity Edge vertical to expand last-mile space, power and edge compute capabilities across multiple U.S. metros.

Australian data centre operator Edge Centres has acquired US colocation and bare-metal provider QuadraNet, adding 10 facilities to its US footprint and increasing Edge’s presence across nine US metro areas. Terms were not disclosed; Edge Centres will merge certain LA assets and appoint its CTO Kiarash Jahangiri as QuadraNet CEO to oversee operations.

EQT Infrastructure (EQT Infrastructure IV) has agreed to acquire EdgeConneX, a global data center provider operating over 40 facilities across 33 markets, from an investor group led by Providence Equity Partners. The transaction is intended to support accelerated growth, new market entry and material expansions of EdgeConneX's existing locations; it was announced Aug. 19, 2020 and expected to close in Q4 2020.
