Enjet Aero Acquires Birken Manufacturing

Enjet Aero, a Kansas City-based engine component manufacturer, has acquired Birken Manufacturing of Bloomfield, Connecticut, expanding Enjet's machining, sheet metal and testing capabilities for aeroengine customers. Birken's leadership will remain in place and the facility will be renamed Enjet Aero Bloomfield to integrate into Enjet's network and add capacity for OEM engine programs.

Sur-Seal Acquires Mueller

Sur-Seal, a Heartwood Partners–backed engineered sealing solutions company headquartered in Cincinnati, acquired Mueller, a North Carolina-based provider of custom die cutting, slitting, laminating and CNC cutting operating out of a 141,000 sq. ft. facility. The acquisition expands Sur-Seal's engineering, converting and manufacturing capabilities and adds end-market exposure in HVAC, aerospace, medical, renewable energy and electronics while preserving Mueller's employee-centric culture under the Stober family ownership transition.

Messingschlager Acquires Cycle Force Group

German bicycle distributor Messingschlager GmbH acquired Cycle Force Group, LLC (including its North America Cycles subsidiary) in a deal that closed Dec. 31, 2021. The acquisition establishes Messingschlager USA (doing business as Cycle Force Group) and is intended to drive the buyer's international expansion and deepen capabilities in parts, accessories and e-mobility across the U.S. and Europe.

Mohawk Group Acquires Assets of Mueller, Pursteam, Pohl & Schmitt and Spiralizer

Mohawk Group Holdings, Inc. acquired the assets of e-commerce brands Mueller, Pursteam, Pohl & Schmitt and Spiralizer from 9830 Macarthur LLC, ZN Direct LLC, and Reliance Equities Group, LLC. Consideration included $25.0 million in cash, 4,220,000 shares of Mohawk common stock and a promissory note of approximately $15.8 million, and the acquired brands reported combined unaudited trailing twelve month revenue of ~$77.5 million and operating income of ~$13.1 million as of September 30, 2020.

Mullen Group Acquires Bandstra Group of Companies

Mullen Group Ltd. (TSX: MTL) acquired the Bandstra Group of Companies, including Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. and Babine Truck & Equipment Ltd., in a transaction that closed April 16, 2021. The acquisition expands Mullen's presence and service capabilities in western Canada, adding Bandstra's fleet, terminals and OEM dealership operations primarily across northern British Columbia.

Helios Technologies Acquires Schultes Precision Manufacturing

Helios Technologies, a public manufacturer of motion control and electronic controls, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Schultes Precision Manufacturing, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based precision CNC machining and assembly specialist. The acquisition (expected to close in Q1 2023) adds machining capabilities and capacity to Helios' Hydraulics segment; financial terms were not disclosed.
