Compassus has acquired ownership interest in three hospice locations and four home health locations formerly led by OhioHealth and will operate the services as OhioHealth at Home in partnership with OhioHealth. Compassus will manage operations across the transferred locations while OhioHealth continues to participate in care delivery; OhioHealth's Athens hospice services and the Kobacker House in Columbus are excluded from the partnership.

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare (DDH) acquired Mobility Designed, Inc.'s full portfolio of products, including the M+D Comfort Crutch, and will integrate the company's industrial design expertise into DDH’s operations. Mobility Designed co-founder Max Younger will join DDH as Senior Director of Industrial Design & Innovation to support product launches and drive design-led innovation across DDH’s medical equipment lineup. The acquisition expands DDH’s product portfolio and in-house design capabilities to enhance patient outcomes.

The Hilb Group Acquires Compass Planners

The Hilb Group, LLC (THG) acquired Rhode Island-based Compass Planners effective February 1, 2021. Compass Planners is a specialized Medicare Advantage brokerage led by Jim Soucy, who — with three colleagues — joined THG to lead and expand its Medicare retail and wholesale practice. THG, a Richmond-based insurance brokerage and portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, said the acquisition will grow its National Benefits Practice and support expansion of its Medicare offerings.
