Meta Platforms, Inc. has acquired PlayAI, a startup that builds hyper-realistic voice generation and cloning technology. The financial terms were not disclosed; Meta said the entire PlayAI team will join and that the acquisition aligns with its roadmap across AI Characters, Meta AI, wearables and audio content creation.

Skan AI Acquires Metaculars

Metaculars' founders and engineering team will join Skan AI to accelerate in-app AI agents for workflow automation, onboarding, and real-time decision-making across regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare.

Meta Acquires AI Audio Startup WaveForms

Meta has acquired AI voice startup WaveForms for an undisclosed sum to bolster its Superintelligence Labs AI unit. The startup — founded in 2024 and backed by Andreessen Horowitz — will bring its audio/voice LLM technology and founding team to Meta; roughly a dozen employees are reported to have been part of the company prior to the deal.

Cyber Guru Acquires Mantra

Italian cybersecurity awareness platform Cyber Guru has acquired Paris-based Mantra, integrating Mantra's automated and chat-enabled security awareness training into Cyber Guru's AI-driven platform.
