Meta Platforms Acquires AI Agent Developer Manus

Meta Platforms has acquired Manus, a Singapore-based developer of general-purpose AI agents, in a deal reported by the Wall Street Journal to be worth over $2 billion. Manus will continue operating its subscription service from Singapore while its employees join Meta as the company integrates Manus's agent technology to accelerate automation across Meta's consumer and enterprise AI products.
