The financial terms were not disclosed; Meta said the entire PlayAI team will join and that the acquisition aligns with its roadmap across AI Characters, Meta AI, wearables and audio content creation.

Meta Acquires AI Wearables Startup Limitless

Meta has acquired Limitless (formerly Rewind), an AI wearable startup that built a pendant which recorded and transcribed real-world conversations. Limitless will stop selling new devices, support existing customers for one year (moving them to a free Unlimited Plan), and the Limitless team will join Meta’s Reality Labs to help accelerate AI-enabled wearables development.

Apple Acquires Israeli Audio AI Startup Q.ai

Apple has acquired Q.ai, an Israeli audio-focused AI startup, in a deal reported to value the company at roughly $1.6 billion (estimates vary). Q.ai’s ~100 employees, including CEO Aviad Maizels and co‑founders, will join Apple as the company looks to integrate Q.ai’s audio and “silent speech” imaging/ML technology into its hardware and voice-enabled products.

Voices Acquires Voices.ai to Launch Developer Platform for Voice Applications

Voices, the global voice-over marketplace, has acquired Voices.ai and plans to launch a next-generation developer platform for voice applications that will include APIs, libraries, documentation and cloud infrastructure. The acquisition supports Voices’ push into AI-generated voices and developer-focused tools to serve use cases such as voice assistants, eLearning and real-time synthetic voice applications.

Meta Platforms Acquires AI Agent Developer Manus

Manus will continue operating its subscription service from Singapore while its employees join Meta as the company integrates Manus's agent technology to accelerate automation across Meta's consumer and enterprise AI products.

The NFT Gaming Company Acquires Voxpow AI Assets
