Meta Acquires AI Audio Startup WaveForms

Meta has acquired AI voice startup WaveForms for an undisclosed sum to bolster its Superintelligence Labs AI unit. The startup — founded in 2024 and backed by Andreessen Horowitz — will bring its audio/voice LLM technology and founding team to Meta; roughly a dozen employees are reported to have been part of the company prior to the deal.

Meta Platforms Acquires AI Agent Developer Manus

Meta Platforms has acquired Manus, a Singapore-based developer of general-purpose AI agents, in a deal reported by the Wall Street Journal to be worth over $2 billion. Manus will continue operating its subscription service from Singapore while its employees join Meta as the company integrates Manus's agent technology to accelerate automation across Meta's consumer and enterprise AI products.

Voices Acquires Voices.ai to Launch Developer Platform for Voice Applications

Voices, the global voice-over marketplace, has acquired Voices.ai and plans to launch a next-generation developer platform for voice applications that will include APIs, libraries, documentation and cloud infrastructure. The acquisition supports Voices’ push into AI-generated voices and developer-focused tools to serve use cases such as voice assistants, eLearning and real-time synthetic voice applications.

Meta Acquires AI Wearables Startup Limitless

Limitless will stop selling new devices, support existing customers for one year (moving them to a free Unlimited Plan), and the Limitless team will join Meta’s Reality Labs to help accelerate AI-enabled wearables development.

The assets provide voice control, support for more than 100 languages and variants, and sentiment-analysis capabilities to enhance player interaction across NFT Gaming’s platform.
