MidOcean Partners has acquired Smith System Driver Improvement Institute, Inc., a leading provider of workplace and driver safety training, from Levine Leichtman Capital Partners. Smith System, headquartered in Arlington, Texas, offers driver safety and fleet management training globally and will partner with MidOcean to accelerate product development, organic growth and M&A; the Smith System management team has also invested alongside MidOcean. Financial terms were not disclosed.

PCS Software Acquires UltraShipTMS

PCS Software acquired UltraShipTMS to extend its transportation management capabilities into shipper private fleets and create a combined shipper-carrier TMS platform. The deal expands PCS’s SaaS offering for shippers across food, packaging, manufacturing and retail end markets and will integrate UltraShipTMS's optimization and private-fleet capabilities into PCS’s platform.

AMCS Acquires Utilibill

AMCS, the Limerick-headquartered provider of integrated software and vehicle technology for environmental and resource industries, has acquired Utilibill, an Australian cloud-based utility billing platform. The acquisition expands AMCS's capabilities into global water, energy and telecommunications billing markets and adds nearly 100 employees and a customer base of more than 200 utilities and telcos.

Lumine Group Acquires Ubersmith Inc.

The add-on expands Smith System's training capabilities (virtual and in-person classroom, behind-the-wheel, eLearning and risk management) and further consolidates its market position in fleet safety services.
