ICL Group to Acquire Bartek Ingredients

ICL Group entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bartek Ingredients, expanding its portfolio of specialty food solutions and functional food ingredients. The deal will be completed in two phases: ICL will initially invest about $90 million for approximately 50% of Bartek in the first quarter of 2026, with the remaining shares acquired in a second phase subject to milestones and regulatory approvals.

IK Partners Acquires Majority Stake in BIOBank

IK Partners (via its IK Small Cap III fund) has agreed to acquire a majority stake in French tissue bank BIOBank from Verto Growth, Capital Croissance and management, who will reinvest. BIOBank, headquartered in Lieusaint, France, is a leading processor and distributor of bone allografts for orthopaedic, spine, dental and cranio‑maxillofacial surgery; IK plans to support market-share gains in France, accelerate international expansion and pursue a buy‑and‑build strategy.

Optibrium Acquires BioPharmics LLC

Optibrium, a Cambridge-based developer of software and AI solutions for small-molecule drug discovery, has acquired BioPharmics LLC to expand its 3D ligand- and structure-based drug design and visualisation capabilities. The acquisition brings BioPharmics' algorithms and products (including ForceGen, Surflex-Dock, eSim and QuanSA) and its founding scientists into Optibrium's StarDrop platform to strengthen 3D modelling, docking and binding-affinity prediction functionality.

Biobest Group Acquires BioWorks, Inc.

The deal expands Biobest's biopesticide portfolio and establishes BioWorks' Victor facility as the group's North American manufacturing and marketing hub for biopesticides.

Groupe Berkem Acquires Biopress

Groupe Berkem completed the acquisition of Biopress, a French producer of 100% natural vegetable oils and plant proteins, effective April 1, 2023. The deal—carried out by Berkem Développement, a wholly owned subsidiary of Groupe Berkem—was paid in cash and funded from equity; Biopress's 11 employees joined the Group and the acquisition expands Berkem's local sourcing, processing capacity and access to agri-food, cosmetics, nutraceutical and industrial markets.

Ergon Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Millbo–BioNaturals Group

Ergon Capital Partners IV SCSP has closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Millbo, BioNaturals International and BioNaturals Europe (together "Millbo–BioNaturals"), creating a global supplier of natural, clean-label bakery ingredients. The sellers (including Millbo/Boggiani family and other shareholders) will reinvest alongside Ergon, and the investment is intended to accelerate growth through geographic expansion, product cross-selling and a buy-&-build strategy.
