GTCR and Stone Point Capital Acquire Ultimus Fund Solutions

Ultimus, a Cincinnati-based fund administrator serving over 450 clients and administering more than $600 billion in assets, will be jointly controlled by GTCR and Stone Point and led by existing management.

ThoughtWorks has agreed to acquire Gemini Solutions Inc., a privately-held software development and consulting firm, to establish ThoughtWorks Romania and strengthen its nearshore delivery capabilities in Europe. The Gemini team of over 170 engineers based in Bucharest, Cluj and Iași will support ThoughtWorks’ clients across the UK, Germany, North America and France, and Serban Tir will become general manager of ThoughtWorks Romania.

The acquisition expands Ultimus’ private fund administration and middle-office capabilities, increases assets under administration to more than $75 billion and will result in a combined firm serving over 140 clients with nearly 200 employees.
