Hometown Financial Group to Acquire Primary Bank for Approximately $160 Million

Hometown Financial Group has entered into a merger agreement to acquire Primary Bank, a publicly traded commercial bank headquartered in Bedford, New Hampshire, in a transaction valued at approximately $160 million. The deal is expected to expand Hometown’s presence in southern New Hampshire and bring Primary’s locations under the TruNorth Bank brand, with the merger and associated mutual-to-stock conversion expected to be completed concurrently in the first quarter of 2027.
