IBM Acquires HashiCorp for $6.4 Billion to Build End-to-End Hybrid Cloud Platform

IBM agreed to acquire HashiCorp for $35 per share in cash, valuing the deal at $6.4 billion, to expand IBM’s hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure lifecycle management and security capabilities. The transaction closed in February 2025, and HashiCorp became an IBM company to help clients automate and secure hybrid cloud and AI infrastructure.
