IBM has acquired Seek AI, a New York–based startup that provides a natural-language AI platform for querying and analyzing enterprise data, for an undisclosed sum. Seek AI will join IBM’s new Watsonx AI Labs in New York City and relocate its headquarters to One Madison, with the technology integrated into IBM’s enterprise AI offerings to accelerate its AI capabilities.

Knoema Acquires Seek Data

Erik Mitchell, founder of Seek Data, will join Knoema as Chief Strategy Officer to oversee commercial and product strategy for the combined firm.

NetApp Acquires Spot

NetApp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Spot (formerly Spotinst), a provider of cloud compute management and cost-optimization software, to establish leadership in Application Driven Infrastructure. The acquisition pairs NetApp’s shared storage platform with Spot’s continuous optimization platform to help customers reduce cloud compute and storage costs and accelerate public cloud adoption; the deal is expected to close in the first half of NetApp’s fiscal year subject to customary approvals.

ThoughtSpot Acquires Mode Analytics for $200M

SAP Acquires Askdata

HubSpot Acquires Dashworks

HubSpot has entered into an agreement to acquire Dashworks, an AI-powered workplace search assistant, and will bring the Dashworks team into HubSpot's AI product group. The deal is intended to boost HubSpot's Breeze Copilot and other AI features by adding deep search, reasoning, and connections to unstructured data sources for marketing, sales, and service teams.
