Sparks, a Philadelphia-based brand experience agency, has acquired Chicago-area trade-show exhibit firm 3D Exhibits. The deal expands Sparks' midwest fabrication and service footprint and brings 3D Exhibits' leadership (owner Gene Faut) into Sparks' executive team with a minority ownership stake.

Freeman Acquires Sparks, a Global Brand Experience Agency

Freeman has acquired Sparks, a Philadelphia-based global brand experience and experiential marketing agency; terms were not disclosed. Financing for the transaction was provided by KKR, and the deal represents an exit for EagleTree Capital and Sparks' ownership group led by Scott Tarte and Jeff Harrow. Sparks will combine with Freeman's agency business to expand Freeman's capabilities in corporate events, exhibits and brand experience.
