Phoenix Lighting Acquires Bright Light Systems

Phoenix Lighting, a portfolio company of JMC Capital Partners, has acquired Bright Light Systems, Inc., a Georgia-based lighting manufacturer and controls provider. The deal expands Phoenix's industrial lighting capabilities and adds a specialized lighting controls and monitoring platform to better serve ports, terminals and other heavy-industrial end markets.

Apotex Acquires Searchlight Pharma

Apotex Inc. has completed the acquisition of Montreal-based Searchlight Pharma Inc., integrating Searchlight as Apotex's Specialty Pharma Division to expand its branded and specialty pharmaceutical capabilities. The deal adds Searchlight's portfolio of more than 60 products across women's health, dermatology, allergy, pain management and hospital specialty markets, and strengthens Apotex's commercial footprint in Quebec and across the Americas.

Excelitas Technologies Acquires Phoseon Technology

Excelitas Technologies Corp. completed the acquisition of Phoseon Technology, Inc. on February 15, 2023, adding Phoseon's LED-based UV curing and scientific illumination capabilities to its commercial business unit. Phoseon will continue to operate from its Hillsboro, Oregon headquarters and the deal expands Excelitas' product portfolio and R&D cooperation in UV LED solutions across industrial, medical device, electronics and life-sciences end markets.

Applied UV Acquires PURO Lighting and LED Supply Co.

(NASDAQ:AUVI) entered into definitive agreements to acquire PURO Lighting, LLC and LED Supply Co. in a combined transaction valued at approximately $20 million (cash and restricted shares). The deals would roughly double Applied UV's size—adding an estimated $18 million of revenue—and expand its distribution, sales capabilities and access to PURO's strategic relationships (including Acuity Brands) for FDA‑cleared disinfection products.

Glamox Acquires LiteIP Limited

NeoLight Acquires Phoenix Technology Group

NeoLight LLC, an Arizona State University spinout and Scottsdale-based newborn medical device company, has acquired Phoenix Technology Group LLC (PTG), a provider of ophthalmic imaging devices and a telemedicine platform for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening. The deal expands NeoLight’s product portfolio to include the Phoenix ICON camera systems and the Phoenix CONNECT telemedicine platform and aims to leverage PTG’s global distribution to accelerate adoption of NeoLight’s Skylife neonatal phototherapy products.
