Boston Scientific Acquires Relievant Medsystems, Inc.

Boston Scientific Corporation agreed to acquire Relievant Medsystems, Inc. to expand its neuromodulation portfolio and add the Intracept intraosseous nerve ablation system for vertebrogenic chronic low back pain. The deal includes an $850 million upfront cash payment plus contingent payments tied to sales, and is expected to close in the first half of 2024; Relievant was projected to generate more than $70 million in sales in 2023.

PureTech Acquires Remaining Interest in Alivio Therapeutics

PureTech Health plc acquired the remaining 22% of shares in its Founded Entity, Alivio Therapeutics, integrating Alivio's anti-inflammatory therapeutic programs — including LYT-500 and LYT-503/IMB-150 — into PureTech's Wholly Owned Pipeline. The transaction consolidates PureTech's ownership of Alivio and is expected to fund and advance the programs through PureTech's immunology and related technology capabilities.

Concurrently, Toronto investor Flow Capital provided growth financing to support Tantiv4’s expansion of its voice-enabled IoT cloud and edge platform, which has a new OEM agreement in Japan expected to generate recurring license and service revenues.
