TELUS Acquires Blacksmith Applications from Strattam Capital for $275M

TELUS Corporation has acquired Blacksmith Applications, a revenue growth management and trade promotion optimization software provider for consumer packaged goods (CPG), from Strattam Capital for $275 million. Strattam had backed Blacksmith since 2016 and partnered with founder Paul Wietecha to expand the product suite prior to the sale; the acquisition expands TELUS’s capabilities in CPG-focused analytics and planning software.

The deal combines Blacksmith's trade promotion software with TABS' data science, virtual shopper research and category management capabilities to expand revenue-management and analytics offerings for CPG and retail clients.

Blacksmith Applications, a SaaS provider of trade promotion management and optimization software, has acquired Food Sales Enablers (FSE) of Buffalo, New York to combine trade management, promotion optimization and sales enablement for CPG manufacturers. Blacksmith will retain the FSE brand and application as its principal CRM/sales enablement platform; FSE CEO Rick Heavern will join Blacksmith as General Manager of the Food Sales Enablers product division. Blacksmith is backed by Strattam Capital.

Galanthus Partners Acquires InterPro Solutions

Heartland Steel Holdings Acquires SteelPro

The add-on expands Heartland's engineered products and fabrication capacity to better serve material handling integrators, general contractors and e-commerce/warehouse customers; terms were not disclosed.

Accelevation Acquires SteelPro

Accelevation has acquired SteelPro, a structural steel fabricator based in Houston, Mississippi with operations in Memphis, Tennessee, to expand its vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities for data center infrastructure. The deal increases Accelevation's fabrication capacity and brings SteelPro's expertise in generator platforms, external steel structures, and cooling tower systems; SteelPro founder Jeremy Harrell joins Accelevation's leadership team.
