TELUS Acquires Blacksmith Applications from Strattam Capital for $275M

TELUS Corporation has acquired Blacksmith Applications, a revenue growth management and trade promotion optimization software provider for consumer packaged goods (CPG), from Strattam Capital for $275 million. Strattam had backed Blacksmith since 2016 and partnered with founder Paul Wietecha to expand the product suite prior to the sale; the acquisition expands TELUS’s capabilities in CPG-focused analytics and planning software.
