B&B Systems, Inc. has acquired The Quit Company, LLC from founder and CEO Matt Bucklin for an undisclosed sum. The deal adds The Quit Company's consumer health products (including Quit Tea) and related intellectual property, distribution channels and digital assets to B&B Systems' portfolio to expand its proprietary consumer health product line and leverage existing distribution synergies.

The purchase (which excludes store leases, inventory, warehousing and logistics) gives Overstock the Bed Bath & Beyond domains, trademarks, customer database and loyalty data and will be integrated into Overstock’s online business and loyalty program to expand its consumer reach and brand presence.

The Kent Companies, a family-owned convenience store and fuels operator based in Midland, Texas, has acquired B&B Petroleum, LLC — a Ponchatoula, Louisiana-based operator of 15 Chevron-branded convenience stores (including Subway and Red Bird Café locations). The acquisition expands Kent's Kent Kwik footprint into Louisiana as part of a five-year strategy to grow eastward across the Southeast.

BBH Capital Partners will provide acquisition capital alongside Westrock's existing investors, including The Stephens Group, and the combined business — which will employ approximately 1,700 people globally — will create a leading integrated coffee, tea, and extract supplier; S&D President and CEO Ron Hinson will remain with the combined organization as Chairman Emeritus.
