The bolt-on adds Dean Perkin’s specialist team to Clear’s Rights of Light and Legal Indemnities capability to deepen the group’s property and construction insurance offering for developers, investors and other professionals.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management Acquires Clear Group from ECI Partners

Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s private equity business has agreed to acquire Chartered insurance broker Clear Group from ECI Partners, subject to regulatory approval. Clear Group, which has grown via 10 acquisitions under ECI and now employs over 600 people across 15 locations while handling over £330m of premiums, will be backed by Goldman Sachs to continue its M&A-driven scaling strategy.

Clear Group Acquires Phelan Caswell Insurances

The deal expands Clear’s presence in Ireland and brings Phelan Caswell’s management team and approximately 18 staff into the Clear organisation to support further growth across commercial insurance and financial planning sectors.
