Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has partnered with Assisi Pet Care Group Limited, a Melton Mowbray, United Kingdom-based producer of premium and natural dog and cat foods and treats. Wind Point will back Assisi's management team led by Founder and CEO Peter Mangion to expand the company's product capabilities and geographic reach across grocery, e‑commerce and pet specialty channels.

Barentz International Acquires Pestell Nutrition from Wind Point Partners

Barentz International has entered into an agreement to acquire Pestell Nutrition, a Canada-based distributor of feed additives, nutritional ingredients, minerals and pet specialty ingredients, from Wind Point Partners. The acquisition strengthens Barentz's animal nutrition and animal health capabilities in North America and is expected to close subject to customary regulatory approvals.
