Infineon Acquires Marvell's Automotive Ethernet Business for $2.5B

Infineon Technologies completed the acquisition of Marvell Technology's Automotive Ethernet business for $2.5 billion in cash in mid-August 2025. Infineon will fold the operations into a new "Ethernet Solutions" business line to strengthen its automotive semiconductor portfolio and expects the business to generate $225–250 million in 2025 with a design-win pipeline of about $4 billion by 2030.

The deal is expected to add roughly $180 million of Network Service Enablement revenue in the first 12 months, be accretive to non‑GAAP EPS within 12 months, and was partially financed by a $600 million senior secured term loan led by Wells Fargo.
